2017 Toyota Corolla – Release Date, Hybrid, Price

The brand new 2017 Toyota Corolla has been spied testing in the US. From what we have seen, this luxury sedan will bring some fantastic changes.

Design of exterior and improvements  

Japanese manufacturer has finally decided to give significant update to its new 2017 Toyota Corolla since 2014. Although it was camouflaged during its testing, it is obvious that its front end is Mirai-inspired. We can expect changes both inside and out. As for the engine, it is most likely that there won’t be some significant changes under the hood. When it comes to exterior design, new Corolla will look more attractive and sleek. It will receive new chrome grille and reshaped large head lamps. They will give the front fascia smoother appearance. The bumper is also new and placed lower than before. We will notice, as well, new vertical air intakes. On the rear end, we can expect to see revised taillights.

When it comes to interior design of 2017 Toyota Corolla, there is still no official information. However, it will definitively receive some improvements. We can expect it to be redesigned with some new and quality materials. Some sources claim that it will also get a few new colors. The cabin will be modernized with advanced tech features. It is said that the dashboard will feature a new infotainment system.

Engine and performance

Like we have already mentioned, the brand new 2017 Toyota Corolla should use the same engine as the current model. It is a 1.8-liter four cylinder engine. This engine is able to make around 128 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. Eco version adds Valvematic to the 1.8-liter 4 cylinder, so this version will be able to produce 140 horsepower. As for the transmission, the engine will be coupled a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Some rumors claim, that it should get a hybrid version, but it is not yet confirmed.

Release date and expected price

2017 Toyota Corolla is expected to arrive in showrooms sometime in the middle of 2016, most likely in the summer. When it comes to pricing, nothing is yet official. We assume that the price will be slightly higher than the price of the current model. So, we can expect it to be around $18,000 for the base model.
