It is confirmed. The brand new luxury full-size sedan is on the way. We are talking about 2017 Hyundai Equus which is going to be excellent in all segments.

Improvements and exterior design

2017 Hyundai Equus represents the next generation model. So, we can expect some interesting changes. First of all, new Equus will be lighter than its forerunner. This is because of the usage of high strength steel and aluminum in its construction. Speaking of the dimensions, it will be slightly longer than the current model which will increase interior space. When it comes to exterior design, new Equus is inspired by the new Genesis sedan. It will be more elegant but in the same time it will look more aggressive with swoopy lines. The front end will be low and it is going to be redesigned. It will get a more upright front end and will feature revised grille and horizontal LED headlamps. On the rear end, we will notice new exhaust outlets and revised vertical tail lamps. It will also get new multi-spoke wheels.

Engine and performance

Under the hood of 2017 Hyundai Equus will be, most likely, placed an upgraded version of the engine which powers the current model. It is a 5.0-liter V8 engine. This engine will be able to deliver 420 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The second option could be a 3.3-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine. This one will produce 365 horses and 376 pound-feet of torque. The engines will be coupled to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, but we could also expect a 10-speed automatic gearbox later. It will be offered with all-wheel drive system. RWD will also be an option.
