2017 BMW X3 – Specs, Hybrid, Release Date

The brand new 2017 BMW X3 is on the way. When it hits the market in 2017, it will bring a new design language and many interesting changes.

 BMW X3 has always been popular for every day drive because of its versatility, luxury and efficiency. Now, 2017 BMW X3 will represent a new-third generation model which is expected to be fully refreshed and better than ever. It will get more power under the hood, new design and more interior space and comfort. It will be lighter than the current model because of the usage of lightweight materials. Speaking of the exterior design, new X3 will be lower and will look more muscular with aggressive lines. The front fascia will feature sleeker headlamps, sporty and massive air intakes and revised grille. The fog lights will be smaller and more rectangular. The whole body will be more aggressive than before and it will have slightly lower roofline.

Interior design

Inside, 2017 BMW X3 is going to be more spacious, like we have already mentioned, and more luxurious. The cabin will provide slightly more leg room and more comfort.  The seats will be upholstered in high quality leather. The rear seats can be folded in needed for more cargo space. The dashboard will be redesigned as well. It will be wrapped in leather and will feature larger touch screen display. New 2017 BMW X3 will be equipped with latest tech features. Some of them will be new surround system, 4-zone climate control, park distance control, a rear view camera and so on.

2017 BMW X3 engine and performance

2017 BMW X3 is expected to be powered with several types of engines. It should be available with a number of gasoline, diesel and a hybrid engine. The one could be a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, used in the current model. This one is able to make 240 horses. The second should be a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine with the output of 300 horsepower. The third option is a turbocharged diesel four cylinder engine which can produce 180 horsepower. It should be able to hit 60 mph in around 6.2 seconds. Its top speed will be 155 mph. As for the transmission, it is expected to be coupled to an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic gearbox. The power will be sent to rear wheels.

Release date and price

2017 BMW X3 is expected to be unveiled in late 2016. As for the price, we assume that it should be around $41,000 for the base model.
