Swedish Automaker will soon present its new 2016 Volvo XC90.This popular full-size SUV will be entirely redesigned and improved in many segments.
Changes and exterior redesign
2016 Volvo XC90 will represent the next generation of this worldwide known model. It will be larger in every segment. It will be taller, wider and longer than its forerunner. However, everything will be designed in a way that it will look smaller visually. It will have more masculine appearance but will not look aggressive. The lines will me more fluid and it will be really something to see. On the front end, we will notice new horizontal headlights. They will be narrow and equipped with LED technology. The rectangular grille will be redesigned and decorated with vertical stripes made of chrome. On the back, there will be placed a long roof spoiler. The alloy wheels will be in a size of 20 and 22-inches. It will be available in following trims: Momentum, R-design and Inscription.
The interior of new XC90 will be in the top of the class. The cabin will be luxurious and made of premium materials such as leather, chrome, wood, carbon fiber. It will be able to accommodate up to seven passengers. Heated front seats and leather upholstery will be standard. Speaking of the equipment, it will be very modern. Some of the features are: a nine-inch color touch screen display, audio system with eleven speakers, navigation, Bluetooth, Blind-Spot information, Rear Collision Warning, camera and many other.
2016 Volvo XC90 powertrain
2016 Volvo XC90 will be powered with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged engine. It is able to make 316 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. It will be paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The power will be sent to all wheels, and front-wheel drive train will be optional. It will also appear with a hybrid version combined to an electric motor with 60KW (82 horsepower).
Release date and expected price
2016 Volvo XC90 will most likely hit the market sometime in the middle of 2015. Speaking of the price, we assume that it won’t be under $50,000 for the base model.
