Changes and exterior design
The brand new 2016 Honda Crosstour will now come slightly larger than the current model. However, its weight will be reduced because of the usage of lighter materials in its design. This should improve general performance of the vehicle, aerodynamics and more important, fuel efficiency. It will share its underpinnings with Honda Accord. Speaking of the exterior, new Honda will show some small but noticeable changes on the front and rear end. The front fascia will feature slightly refreshed and attractive grille decorated with chrome. The headlamps will be refreshed and will get HID or LED lighting. It will also get new alloy wheels, and they will be in a size of 18- and 19-inches. The bumpers will be redesigned as well. The sunroof will be an option.
Design of interior and technology
Like we could have already assumed, 2016 Honda Crosstour will get refreshed interior and some new features. The cabin will be luxurious, spacious and comfortable. It will be able to accommodate five passengers. All the occupants should have enough leg and headroom. The dashboard will be redesigned and will get an 8-inch display. As for the equipment, it will get dual-zone climate control, navigation system, Bluetooth, audio system with seven speakers, USB etc. It will also get many safety features. Some of them are: ABS, a rearview camera, stability assist, airbags and so on.
2016 Honda Crosstour engine and horsepower
According to the latest rumors, 2016 Honda Crosstour will be powered with two types of engine. The one is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. It will be able to produce 192 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. This engine will be mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. The other option will be a 3.5-liter V6 engine. It will be able to deliver up to 278 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque. It will be paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox. It will be offered with a front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive will be optional.
Release date and price
It is still not known when 2016 Honda Crosstour will appear on the market. However, we assume that it should b in late 2015. As for the price, it is expected to be around $28,000 for the base model.
