GMC is once again revealing its new 2016 GMC Yukon. It will be improved in order to stay a head of its main competitors such as new Lincoln Navigator.
Improvements and exterior design
2016 GMC Yukon will be improved and refreshed in almost every segment. It is a large SUV which will be able to go on any type of surface. There is no terrain which this vehicle won’t be able to conquer. It will show great towing and hauling capability. It will be offered in two body styles and two new exterior colors. Those are Yukon standard which wheelbase length is 116 inches and Yukon XL which wheelbase length is 130 inches. It will be more aerodynamic which will improve gas mileage. Speaking of the exterior design, new Yukon will keep its recognizable boxy look. However, it will be slightly refreshed. The front fascia will feature large, mesh grille with famous insignia in the middle of it. The wheels will be in a size of 18-, 20- and 22-inches which will depend on a trim. It will be offered in three trim levels. Those are: the base SLE, SLT and Denali.
2016 GMC Yukon design of interior and technology
The interior of 2016 GMC Yukon will be luxurious and welcoming. The cabin is very spacious and able to accommodate even nine passengers. The seats are comfortable and upholstered in high quality leather. The second and the third rows of seats are flat folded. As for the equipment, some of the standard features will be: an 8-inch touch screen display with GMC IntelliLink infotainment system, Bose audio system, a rearview camera, park assistance systems etc. Some of the optional features will be: second and third row Blu-ray entertainment, keyless entry, Bluetooth, navigation and so on.
Powertrain and horsepower
2016 GMC Yukon will be powered with two engines. The base and XL model will get a 5.3-liter V8 engine. It will be able to produce 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Denali model will get a 6.2-liter V8. This engine will be able to deliver up to 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The base engine will be mated to a six-speed automatic while the second will be paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. New Yukon will be offered with RWD and AWD.
Release date and price
2016 GMC Yukon should appear on the market this fall. As for the price, we assume that it will be around $49,000 for the base model.
