Chrysler company is revealing one of its most popular full size luxury sedans. It is a 2016 Chrysler 300. It will be redesigned and will show many upgrades.
Redesign of exterior
The brand new 2016 Chrysler 300 will be underpinned with the same Chrysler’s LX full-size platform. Therefore, we cannot expect some significant weight reduction; only some mild lighting which won’t significantly improve fuel efficiency. Speaking of the exterior design, new Chrysler won’t undergo some mayor upgrades. It will get minor facelift, but the changes will be noticeable. It will appear with its same powerful look. However, it will look more aggressive than the current model. On the front end, we will see slightly redesigned and large grille. The headlamps will be mildly refreshed and will get LED lights. It will also get a new front bumper. On the rear end, we can expect revised taillights and dual exhaust pipes. 18-inch wheels will be standard, but it could also get new 21-ich aluminum wheels. As well, it will be offered with some new colors for exterior.
Interior design and features
When we take a look inside of 2016 Chrysler 300, we will notice right away its spacious cabin. The seats will be covered with leather and very comfortable. Everything will be designed in a way so it looks perfectly proportioned. It will be provided with many modern infotainment and safety systems. Some of the features included will be a new touch screen navigation system, great audio system etc.
2016 Chrysler 300 engine and transmission
2016 Chrysler 300 will be powered with several types of engine. The base engine will be a 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar. This engine will be able to produce around 300 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The second option is a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine. It will deliver up to 363 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque. And the last, most powerful is a 6.4-liter HEMI engine. It is capable of making 465 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. All the engines will be paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It will be offered with standard rear wheel drive. However, all-wheel drive will be optional.
Release date and price
It is still not confirmed when 2016 Chrysler 300 will hit the market. We believe that it will be sometime during 2016. As for the price, it should be around $40,000 for the base model.
