2016 Chevrolet Suburban is a full size and capable SUV which will show great towing abilities and many improvements inside and under the hood. It is able to tow up to 8300 pounds. It will be available in three trim levels. Those are: the base LS, LT and LTZ. The palette of colors for exterior will be wider now and it will get two new colors- Iridescent Pearl Tricoat and Siren Red Tintcoat. When it comes to exterior design, it was completely redesigned last year. Therefore, new Chevy will appear with its recognizable look. It is boxy with angular lines. It looks very powerful and masculine because of its large dimensions. It will ride on 18-inch alloy wheels. But it will also be offered with 22-inch wheels.
Design of interior and technology
The interior of 2016 Chevrolet Suburban is very spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. This large SUV is able to welcome even nine passengers in three rows of seats. There are plenty of head and leg room for all the occupants. The third row can fold flat. The front seats will be power adjustable. An 8-inch touch screen display will be placed on the center of the dashboard. As for equipment, new Chevy will come standard with Chevrolet’s MyLink infotainment system, USB, Bluetooth, OnStar 4G LTE system, a rearview camera, satellite radio, audio system with six speakers etc. Some of the available features will be keyless entry, adaptive cruise control, Blu-Ray DVD system and so on.
2016 Chevrolet Suburban powertrain
2016 Chevrolet Suburban will be powered with a 5.3-liter V8 engine. This engine will be able to deliver up to 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. It will be paired a six-speed automatic gearbox. It will be available with AWD and RWD. With AWD estimated fuel efficiency is rated at 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. With RWD, it is rated at 16/23 mpg in the city/highway drive.
Release date and price
2016 Chevrolet Suburban should appear sometime in late 2015. When it comes to pricing, it should be similar to the price of the current model. It is estimated to be around $50,000 for the base model.
